Why our figures are conservative
Since net metering was removed by Ministerial Regulation ESDM No. 2 of 2024, electricity exported to the PLN grid no longer reduces your bill. This calculator counts savings only from the electricity you consume yourself, so the result can be lower than calculators that ignore this.

About this calculation
How accurate is the result?
It is an initial estimate based on average assumptions: electricity tariff, energy yield per kWp per year, and the share of electricity consumed on site. Final figures can only be set after a site survey, because roof orientation, shading and consumption patterns differ everywhere.
Why does it differ from other calculators?
Many calculators still assume surplus output reduces your bill. That assumption stopped being true in Indonesia in 2024, and we would rather show the honest number.
